'Twas the night before the 1st day of school

'Twas the night before
the 1st day of school -
no more days of leisure
and sitting by the pool.

"To bed early" I said

as we read a few books.

"But I'm not tired" they said

and gave me THAT look.

The 2nd grade for Miss Molly -
where has the time gone?
Carson's in the 1st grade??
My baby is practically grown.

1st day outfits are picked out
and the back packs are full -
Maybe they should sleep in their clothes
so we can be on time to school!?!

Garden City 2009

Beth read a book and enjoyed a beer while Jeff assisted the kids with their fishing & I went back and forth getting the gear set up/fixed. Both of the kids caught fish and we all had a great time!

Carson spent hours in the water with his boogie board.

Beth joined us on our water park adventure.

We had a great time hanging out at the beach -

reading, relaxing, playing in the sand...

Carson made it to the All-Star swim meet in backstroke!!! The top 20 fastest times from all 4 Divisional Meets qualified. He was #20 but we are still so proud of him! He couldn't even swim backstroke until half way through the season.

Carson was at Camp Muvie for the weekend - but being the good mom that I am - we (Molly & I) picked him up at camp Saturday around lunch time and drove back to Augusta so that he could swim around 3:00. After he swam, we went back to the house to hang out for a little bit and the headed back to "camp" for dinner and an after dinner cruise on the pontoon.

Carson didn't swim his fastest (41 sec and 17th out of 17) but did a great job and had a great time!!!
