soccer tournament

CESA Interim Healthcare Spring Challenge
Greenville, SC
April 24 -25, 2010
-----
Game 1 - W - 2:1
Game 2 - T - 1:1
Game 3 - L - 1:2

Carson played goalie in games 1 and 3. There are no pictures of him playing in game 2 because it was raining and I didn't want to get my camera out.

Carson's cheering section -
Sydney and Cole (along with Jennifer) came to game 3
because the weather had finally cleared up
* Aunt Boo was there too - she came to all 3 games
(rain or shine and post 5K)

spring soccer has started!!!

Here are a couple of pictures from his first games of the season. They played 2 games against teams from Savannah. As usual, they played older teams - U10 girls and U9 boys - and did really well. They lost the 1st game (against the girls) 0 - 2 and the 2nd game (against the boys) 1-2. That might not sounds so great but they lost their first games in the fall 0 - 12!

Carson played goalie for a game and a half and stopped a lot of shots. He just "knows" how to dive into a crowd of players and not get stepped on, how to close off the opponents shots on goal, and to use his whole body to stop the ball -- he must have been born with some kind of goalie gene (on his dad's side, of course).

Aiken Cup

pre-game family pic (minus the photographer/mom as usual)

Carson's U8 team (all 6 and 7 yr olds) played three U9 teams in the tournament. As you can see, the other players were just a little bit bigger the ours.

They lost all 3 of their games but played hard, scored a few goals and improved a lot! The 3rd team they played was another one of "their" teams - the Bulls U9 team. The bigger boys were so nice - they took it easy on the little ones and actually allowed them to score a few goals.
