Some of our friends from North Augusta - the O'Neals - were in Sapphire, NC while we were at the lake. Since you have to drive about 30 minutes to go out to dinner any way...we met up with them at the Sapphire Mountain Brewing Company.

The best part about any vacation is the little things...

staying up late and sleeping in,

eating breakfast in the den in front of the TV,

putting together lots of puzzles,

playing cards on the porch,

and just being silly.

There was a small cove and beach near the cabins. We used it as a temporary place to dock our boat and spent plenty of time just hanging out and playing/relaxing there. We met a lot of other families who were staying in the cabins. The kids had a blast playing with all of their new friends.

Georgia Sea Turtle Center

On our way home from the reunion, we stopped at the

Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island.

- he had a stroke and became a "floater" -
he is currently undergoing physical therapy to
learn how to dive again
