let the birthday celebrations begin...
At our house, bithdays can go on for weeks!

Molly's birthday celebrating started last weekend with Muvie, Aunt Boo and Sydney. We met at Applebee's in Greenwood for an early dinner and presents (and to deliver a few Girl Scout cookies, as well). When Muvie asked Molly what her favorite Christmas present in Greenville was, Molly replied " The $20 dollars from Mrs. Donna." So Muvie decided to buy a couple of small presents and stuff them with the money she was planning to spend. As you can see by Molly's face, this present went over pretty well.

Apple Picking with Brownies
The girls spent the weekend picking apples with Molly's Brownie troop (the boys stay in North Augusta and worked and played soccer). Friday after school, we headed to Spartanburg and "camped out" at a Girl Scout facility - it was basically a big room with lots of space for air mattresses, a kitchen & bathroom facilities. (I didn't know that there are Girl Scout facilities all over that troops can use for little to no cost.) And on Saturday, we headed up to Flat Rock, NC to pick apples at Sky Top Orchard. It was a little rainier and colder than we expected, but I guess Girl Scouts just put a smile on their faces and keep going.
It was 42 degrees, overcast and windy!

We also picked up a couple of Granny Smith and Golden Delicious in the store.

It was a great weekend! Maybe next time the weather will be a little bit warmer and we will have a little more time to visit with family and friends.
