just 5 miles from our house! I am still working in a nursing home. And still working 3 days a week while the kids are at school. I really liked my last job (working at a nursing home in McCormick, SC) but just wanted to be a little (or in this case, a lot) closer to home. I am happy to be done with my 40-mile commute but I don't like starting new jobs!
Some of the reason I don't like starting a new job...
* don't like not knowing names (patients or staff)
* get lost easily (nursing homes can be confusing)
* new paperwork & processes (some better, some worse than the last job)
* don't know who to go to when I need answers
Other than that, I had a good first day. Everyone was nice and helpful. So, I guess I'll go back Wednesday...

New Year's Resolution...
My New Year's resolution is to go out with my huband and friends more (without the kids)! I'm going to start getting a baby sitter and/or sign the kids up for a parent's night out at least once (if not twice) a month. This will be good for my whole family.
Maybe I'll start a laid-back supper club or Jeff & I will just go on more dates (or both!). Either way - it will encourage us to make nice dinner plans more often and spend more time with our friends.

What will we do this weekend???
We have lots of options, but the big question is...will we have enough gas to get us there? I've got a little over 1/2 a tank and Jeff has emptied the contents of the gas can into my tank. The problem is - I've got an 80 mile round-trip drive for work tomorrow (needless to say, the biggest downfall of my job). If we can find some gas some where - we are headed to the Clemson/Maryland game. Otherwise, I guess we'll just have to stay close to home. The boat has gas - maybe we will head to the lake? Molly has swimming - maybe we can carpool with friends? Maybe, just maybe - we'll simply hang out around the house? I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
