Ercel is my grand-mother. She is 89 yrs old and still lives at home (with a little bit of help). While we were in south Georgia for the family reunion, we drove down to Jasper, FL for a short visit.

The baby birds were "born" on June 10th.

Molly called us at work to let us know they were here.

They are growing very quickly! According to my research, they should be able to start flying next week. And hopefully the whole family will fly away and give us back our porch/deck. They really have not been too much trouble - they let us come and go as we need to at the back porch door and don't mind if we sit out there while Jeff is grilling - but I am ready to not have to worry about the mama deciding to get one of my kids because they are making too much noise (Carson) or something...

Carson's 6th birthday party!!!!

We celebrated Carson's 6th birthday at our neighborhood pool. The weather was great - not too hot and no rain! We had a couple of relay races - the noodle relay and the t-shirt relay. Here Carson & Tyler are cheering on their class-mate Winter in the noodle relay.

And then they went diving for money.

Carson opened his present with a little help from Molly (and Dad was on clean-up duty).

He blew out all 6 of his candles on his baseball birthday cake.

And then sat back and enjoyed a piece of cake while surrounded by his friends and all of his new toys.
