Easter

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail...to Granna & Gramps house. The Easter bunny found the kids in Alabama. A new bike helmet for Molly and some discs for disc golf for Carson (and Jeff). The Easter bunny also brought new coloring books, picture stickers and a little bit of candy! And Granna & Gramps have a GREAT yard for an Easter egg hunt (lots of bushes and nooks & crannies for eggs to be hidden). They found all of the hidden eggs including a couple of golden eggs (with a gold dollar inside). The boys (Jeff, Carson & Gramps ) played 9 holes of golf while the girls baked cookies, played and got ready for lunch. After lunch, we headed back to SC (listening to the Masters on the radio for most of the trip). Only ran into a brief delay around the Washington Road Exit (where there was a lane closed for exiting Masters patrons). We made it home in time to order pizza for dinner, get the laundry started and watch the end of the
Masters on TV. All in all, we had a very busy but
FABULOUS spring break & Easter!!!

After dodging Masters traffic Friday night (it took us an hour to get to the other side of Augusta!), we finally made it to AL for a family-filled weekend. Our 1st stop (bright & early Saturday morning) was Greg & Shelley's house in Birmingham. Molly & Carson had a great time playing with Madeleine Ann. Now that she is 2 1/2, she's a lot more fun! She looks up to Molly & Carson and they like showing her new things. They played all morning (except for breaks to take pictures with baby George). George is an adorable baby - mostly likes to eat and sleep at this stage but appears to be quite good at both. Molly (who has always been nurturing/mothering) absolutely loved holding George and didn't even want to give him back when he started to fuss a little. She just rocked him a little until he fell asleep! Jeff & Greg picked up BBQ for lunch (a must if you are in Birmingham!) and we headed back to Anniston at nap-time. On our way, we stopped at Bass Pro Shop for a little shopping and Easter fun (egg hunt, arts & crafts, pics with the Easter bunny...). Granna & Gramps fed the kids dinner and then they all watched a movie on the BIG TV in the basement. While Jeff and I went out to dinner and did a little shopping (at Dicks and Target). It's always nice to take advantage of a little free grandparent babysitting.

Garden City (April 6-9)

Even though it was cold and windy, we had a great time at the beach with Muv, Pops and Jasper.
-----
WE...

went to the park,

took Jasper for walks,

played in the heated indoor pool,

went shopping at the "shark",

walked on the pier,

played on the beach,

and enjoyed the view from our condo .

A day at the beach is better than a month in town.
